Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
• Purpose: to award annually one young scientist for outstanding life science research for which he/she was awarded a doctoral degree in the previous year.
• Topic: must be in one of the following categories: Cell and Developmental Biology; Genomics and Proteomics; Environment; or Translational Medicine.
• Eligibility: Eligible entrants must have been awarded their doctoral degree in 2013 or 2014, and the subject of their thesis should match one of the subject.
• Amount: 10000 $ (montant max : 30000 $)
• Deadline : 01/08/2015
• Montant : environ 23.000 euros
• Deadline : 15/09/2015
• Purpose: to support research projects designed to solve specific problems and paradoxes in cancer research identified by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Provocative Questions initiative. These problems and paradoxes phrased as questions are not intended to represent the full range of NCI's priorities in cancer research. Rather, they are meant to challenge cancer researchers to think about and elucidate specific problems in key areas of cancer research that are deemed important but have not received sufficient attention.
• Budget and Project Period: Application budgets are not limited but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. The total project period may not exceed 5 years.
• Application Due Date(s):
Letter of Intent due date: 30 days before application due date
Application Due Date(s): October 29, 2015; June 29, 2016; October 28, 2016

• Purpose: to solicit research projects that study the mechanisms of oral immune system plasticity relevant to chronic HIV infection and oral coinfections. In this context, NIH encourages studies on reversal of immune activation, residual inflammation, immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS), and microbial and by-product translocation. These conditions occur in persons chronically infected with HIV who are treated with combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) and who also experience oral opportunistic infections.
• Budget and Project Period: Application budgets are not limited but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. The total project period may not exceed 5 years.
• Deadline : 29/09/2015 (letter of intent)
• Action Type: Research and Innovation Action
• Purpose: to involve a broader range of partners, including mid-sized companies, from different sectors e.g. biomedical imaging, medical information technology,diagnosticand/or animalhealth industries. Involving the wider community in this way should help to advance the development of new approaches and technologies for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases with high impact on public health.
• Topics:
- Topic 1: Patient perspective elicitation on benefits and risks of medicinal products, from development through the entire life cycle, to inform the decision-making process by regulators and health technology assessment bodies
- Topic 2: Diabetic kidney disease biomarkers (DKD-BM)
- Topic 3: Inflammation and AD: modulating microglia function – focussing on TREM2 and CD33
- Topic 4: Understanding the role of amyloid imaging biomarkers in the current and future diagnosis and management of patients across the spectrum of cognitive impairment (from pre-dementia to dementia)
- Topic 5: Evolving models of patient engagement and access for earlier identification of Alzheimer’s disease: phased expansion study
- Topic 6: From ApoE biology to validated Alzheimer’s disease targets
• Deadline : 13/10/2015 (stage 1)
• Purpose: to support Exploratory/Developmental Research Grants (R21) that propose small scale or pilot and feasibility clinical and translational research studies, including epidemiological studies or clinical trials related to kidney disease research. Studies should address important clinical and translational questions and are potentially of high clinical and public health impact.
