Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Entering lockdown, exiting lockdown, living with a curfew and then a second lockdown, adapting to the Business Continuity Plan and the Progressive Business Resumption Plan, working from home or on priority activities on campus... For the past eight months, the extraordinary situation we have experienced has involved different realities for each staff member, calling into question things we once took for granted and plaguing us with uncertainty.
On an individual and a collective level, this unprecedented context is having an undoubted impact on the way we organize our work, sometimes forcing us to rethink our priorities and requiring constant adaptation to new procedures and measures that are changing from one day to the next.
But since March, Team Pasteur has shown unfailing commitment and dedication in its response to the demands of tackling COVID-19. And the same Team Pasteur has also demonstrated its expertise and its role in advancing knowledge in the many other areas in which the Institut Pasteur is engaged in its mission to serve public health.
Our community faces another challenge in its current configuration – a setup aimed at keeping presence on campus to a strict minimum and encouraging remote working –, and that is how to maintain our collective spirit and keep in touch with our colleagues, our teams and our contacts. Our collective strength depends on us interacting with each other.
To help you through this time, each weekly edition of the newsletter will contain a section entitled "Let's keep in touch!", where you will find tools, guides and resources, events and activities, and perhaps some unexpected surprises.
This week we shine the light on some tools and services that can help you keep in contact, maintain links with colleagues and access useful information.
Since May, the Teams application has been available for Institut Pasteur staff to facilitate remote working during the health crisis and lockdown. Teams has become a vital tool and is used by staff on a daily basis as an invaluable asset to help organize working life.
The Institut Pasteur Information Systems Department has been working hard to provide support to help staff get to grips with using the tool.
Resources include:
• a web page available here or directly via the Webcampus home page
• a series of videos and guides (best practices for using Teams, making calls, searching in the directory, instant messaging, setting up teams and channels, managing meetings and collaborative work)
The Information Systems Department also recently ran two webinars, which were recorded and are available to watch:
"Meetings with Teams: planning, joining and leading meetings/webinars"
"Teamwork with Teams: creating teams and interacting with Institut Pasteur staff and guests"
Reminder: How to install Teams
Download the application for PC or Mac
• Download the mobile application on your smartphone or tablet via your store (iOS and Android) – search for Teams
Catch a glimpse of campus on Teams!
To give your meetings with Teams more of a Pasteurian flavor, you can now add an image of the Institut Pasteur campus as a background.
We would remind you that the following services are accessible online (in the same conditions as on campus):
• Your email account https://email.pasteur.fr
• The procurement portal https://portailha.pasteur.fr
• The HR portal https://portailrh.pasteur.fr
• Webcampus https://webcampus.pasteur.fr
Several other web services are accessible either via the portal https://connect.pasteur.fr, or by activating the VPN:
• Télémaque
• Publications
All these applications, together with the storage spaces (Gaïa/Atlas), can be accessed by activating the VPN.
For more information on how to connect to the VPN client, please consult the help page.
Since March, the Webcampus intranet home page has featured a range of vital practical information contained in the successive messages from the BCP/PBRP committees and organized into several sections. With the latest developments in the measures and procedures adopted by the Institut Pasteur, it was time to update the content displayed on Webcampus to help everyone find their way around more easily.
A new look will be unveiled on Webcampus on Monday November 23, with all the useful and practical information about COVID-19 presented in a new way. The "News" section ("à la Une") available from the Webcampus home page now contains only the most recent COVID-19 news.
Also via the Webcampus home page, a single click takes you to an additional dedicated space, with further information organized into sections including working arrangements, life on campus, health, safety and security, etc. You will also find videos from the President and useful links.
So don't forget to head to Webcampus on Monday and check out the new-look COVID-19 practical information section.

A new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section is now available online (English version coming soon). You can also access it via the Webcampus home page.
