On a proposal by the President, the Board of Governors Bureau, which met on Wednesday June 17, approved the appointment of Florence Clauzure as the Institut Pasteur's new Vice-President Human Resources. Florence Clauzure will take office on July 15.

"I am very pleased to welcome Florence Clauzure to the Institut Pasteur, where she will work alongside the members of the Senior Management Board. Florence Clauzure has worked in a variety of sectors, including industry, engineering, public services and healthcare, both in France and internationally. Her extensive experience as a human resources director has enabled her to support several major organisations in tackling numerous and significant HR issues and transformation challenges. Florence Clauzure has also supported numerous individuals and teams in their career development, both in terms of skills and leadership development and in helping them settle into new roles. Her imminent arrival at the institute will be an undeniable asset in supporting the roll-out of the strategic plan through the implementation of human resources policies tailored to the institution.”

Alban Hautier, Senior Executive Vice-President

A graduate of Sciences Po—with a master’s degree in economic and social policy—and holder of a Master 2 in human resources from Paris-Dauphine University, Florence Clauzure began her professional career in industry before joining the SUEZ Group in 1996 as an international HR project manager. Between 1999 and 2009, she held various roles at Suez Eau France—first at the regional level and then at the national level—serving as head of human resources and later as career manager for senior managerial staff and engineers. In 2009, she was appointed Human Resources Director at Suez Consulting SAFEGE, which operates in the environmental sector through engineering activities focused on water management, sustainable cities, and transportation. Six years later, Florence Clauzure joined Suez Italy, Central and Eastern Europe to establish the HR function for this Business Unit (BU), thereby supporting the group’s transformation and its growth strategy in response to environmental protection challenges in that region. In 2021, she was appointed HR Director to spearhead HR processes at Assistance Aéronautique et Aérospatiale (now Daher), a company undergoing a major transformation following the 2020 crisis to structure its growth and diversification.

Finally, in 2022, she became HR Director at Adolphe de Rothschild Foundation Hospital, a university hospital for emergency and specialized treatment and research in the fields of ophthalmology and neuroscience. She served in this role for three years in connection with the "Hospital 2030" project, aimed at extending and restructuring the Rothschild Foundation Hospital, which required close managerial support and an effective recruitment policy. As part of this process of transformation and staff support, Florence Clauzure was involved in establishing the "Cercle des Femmes" for female staff and introducing a mentoring program. A mentor in various other programs, Florence Clauzure is also a certified coach.

Member of the Senior Management Board (CODIR) and reporting to the Senior Executive Vice-President, Florence Clauzure will work, in collaboration with the other departments and in line with the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan, to develop an attractive and collaborative working environment enabling the Institut Pasteur to best fulfil its four core missions: research, public health, education and innovation.

“I am delighted to be joining the Institut Pasteur as Vice-President Human Resources, to play an active part in the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan and to support the staff in a spirit of openness, service and dialogue. I hope in this way to contribute to the common good that scientific research represents and to helping our society adapt to the health challenges caused by climate change.”
