CORONAVIRUS

COVID-19 – Useful information: Webcampus, HR, health, email addresses, FAQ, mail deliveries

  • Novel coronavirus: the Webcampus home page is changing to meet your needs at this time

Since the start of the outbreak, Webcampus has kept you updated with all the latest information and practical details. Institut Pasteur statements, memos on health issues, official documents about working arrangements on campus or from home, human resources questions – whether you are at home or on campus, Webcampus serves as a link between each and every staff member at this unprecedented time.

To help you find the information you need, the Webcampus home page has been restructured and the information divided into several sections. When you open the page, the first thing you will see is any new information or any items that have been updated (with dates). A second section contains useful information, divided into the following subsections: video messages from the President, health, working arrangements, life on campus, safety/security. Finally, as well as providing links to official websites, the "Find out more" section gives you the opportunity to access further information on the dedicated page for the outbreak, created on February 13 on Webcampus and updated on a regular basis.

  • Requirement to stay at home for those at risk of developing a severe form of infection with SARS-CoV-2: new system for reporting leave of absence

The principle is the same: in accordance with the decisions by the French government, we would remind you that anyone at risk of developing a severe form of infection* must stay at home. But since March 23, there has been a change in the procedure for these individuals to report their leave of absence:

1/ From now on only the following people should report their leave of absence directly on the website of the French health insurance authority (assurance maladie) (declare.amelie.fr):

- pregnant women in their third trimester

- employees recognized as having one of the following long-term health conditions

In light of the length of confinement, you must renew of this leave of absence under the same conditions and monitor developments in the recommendations from health authorities.

2/ Other people at risk of developing a severe form whose duties cannot be performed remotely (who therefore do not have the option of working from home) should contact their family physician, or another local doctor, so that he or she can assess whether a leave of absence should be issued. If so, the medical certificate should be sent to the Payroll Department: paie@pasteur.fr

*The list of people at risk of developing a severe form of infection has been drawn up by the French High Council for Public Health (HCSP)

  • Do you have any human resources-related questions about the current situation?

The Human Resources Department has compiled an HR FAQ, which is now available on a dedicated page. The FAQ will be regularly updated to take account of situations encountered by staff and questions raised.

  • Keeping in touch – Develop your skills – remotely!

Why not take advantage of this time to continue developing your skills?

A number of training sessions and courses – accessible to everyone and mostly free of charge – are currently available online for all those interested. There are plenty of opportunities to deepen your knowledge, discover new topics, and continue learning and training, no matter where you are.

Following last week's theme on the importance of maintaining team spirit, we wanted to shift the focus this week to skills development to demonstrate that we are still committed to supporting and guiding you remotely. There is a Webcampus page with a host of ideas on how to keep in touch and develop your skills – remotely!

Consult the Webcampus page on the subject. It will be regularly updated with new weekly themes.

  • Changes to mail deliveries

The Logistics Department is unable to carry out mail deliveries and collections in the current context. We would therefore ask you to drop off any mail at the mail room on the ground floor of building 27 (at the far side of the Logistics Department courtyard).

Mail will be delivered by the postal service on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and there will be a daily mail collection by our service provider.

The Logistics Department would like to thank you for your cooperation and is available to provide any further details if required.

Make sure you consult the Webcampus homepage several times a day. It is accessible off campus by activating the VPN, or without the VPN at: https://connect.pasteur.fr
