New video from Stewart Cole: New appointment for two more years

"Dear all,
 
In this month’s video I’m pleased to say how honored I felt when the board of governors extended my tenure as President of the Institut Pasteur for two more years, until December 31, 2023.  This extra time will allow me to serve the Institut Pasteur and the global Pasteur community worldwide with renewed enthusiasm during this particularly challenging period.
 
The board’s recognition of our many great achievements as we reach midterm of the Strategic Plan is not just a reflection of my vision and leadership but also a credit to Team Pasteur.  So, thanks to you all and well done everybody!
 
Moving forward, the institute must continue to invest in the best people and infrastructure in order to remain competitive internationally and to raise our standards. By doing even better science we will reward our supporters and donors, attract new sources of funding and maintain Louis Pasteur’s legacy.
