"3D Printing in Biology" seminar on April 17, 2019

The StaPa Seminar Series, organized by the Institut Pasteur's association for young researchers (StaPa), is a series of regular sessions looking at different research professions. At the next event, participants will have the opportunity to chat to Albane Imbert, Head of the Fab Lab, about 3D printing and find out more about this Institut Pasteur platform set up to offer research support services.

The event will take place from 2 to 4pm on April 17 in the Chamberland room on the ground floor of the Roux building.

A graduate of ESME Engineering School and Strate design school, Albane Imbert now leads the FLIP (Fab Lab) at the Institut Pasteur. During her career she developed skills in different fields in engineering and design development. She subsequently led different projects in informatics and interaction design, and smart objects for industry and art. In parallel, she gained interest in new technologies for prototyping and their applications to science and the general public. Following the evolution of these technologies, she decided to join the Institut Pasteur to create the Fab Lab. The goal of this platform is to develop tools for innovative technological research projects. One of the key activities is 3D printing, which helps researchers to produce creative tools and resolve research questions.
