Time changes for blood product collections

eps.png

The Risk Prevention and Logistics Departments were informed by the EFS (French Blood Service) that its various sites will no longer be able to deliver blood products to Institut Pasteur couriers before noon (12pm) even if blood samples have been taken in the morning. This follows reorganization of the EFS's administrative management which does not depend on the Institut Pasteur's collection organization. Consequently, blood products will be available at the Reception service for biological products (RBP) at the beginning of the afternoon. As per the usual procedure, all units will be informed as soon as the products arrive at the Institut Pasteur.

EFS reminder:

  • It is not possible to supply you with more than one tube (5 to 7ml) per donor.

  • Orders MUST be faxed 7 days prior to sample taking.
