CORONAVIRUS

Message from the PBRP/BCP Committee : application of stricter protective measures on campus as from December 6

Given the rapidly worsening epidemic situation, the BCP/PBRP Committee is adapting the protective measures for staff on campus that were announced on November 26: presence on campus must be reduced to limit the risk of infection while ensuring that scientific activities can continue in person.

Key measures applicable from December 6 to January 15, 2022 (at this stage):

More working from home: exemption to the agreement on working from home with a need to work from home more, in agreement with line managers.

- Scientific staff and technical support staff working on site: staff may work on campus but they are urged to work from home for any tasks away from the lab that do not require them to be present in person;

- Administrative support staff: all eligible staff must work from home for 3 days a week, with a rotation system to be organized with managers and the possibility of working from home for up to 4 days a week (one day a week must be spent on campus);

- Home working days recorded via the HR portal: only days not covered by a contract addendum should be recorded in the category télétravail en situation exceptionnelle (home working in exceptional circumstances).

Stricter hygiene and distancing measures:

- Regular and systematic airing of closed spaces;
- Masks must be worn at all times in all areas, including outdoor areas on campus;
- A distance of at least 1 meter must be maintained between people;
- A distance of more than 2 meters is required if masks cannot be worn (in eating areas);
- Encouragement to get a booster (third) vaccine dose.

Meetings or events on site due to be held from December 6 onwards should be postponed or held on a remote basis, including thesis defenses and appraisals/career development reviews;

Suspension of all social gatherings and festive end-of-year meals at department or unit level, due to be held either on campus or at a venue off campus;

The management team has requested the temporary suspension of sports and cultural activities (sports club (ASIP) and La Pasteurale);

External visitors limited to a maximum of 3 per meeting; guest and retired researchers may come onto campus for no more than one day a week;

Eating areas (canteen and The 25) will be rearranged so that they comply with the new national protocol for the safety of workers and the restaurant "La Table" will be closed.

The latest version of the national protocol to ensure the health and safety of workers in view of the COVID-19 epidemic requires the application of stricter measures.

All these measures are applicable from December 6, 2021 to January 15, 2022 at this stage.

More details coming this afternoon.
