"Pasteur Medicine Quarter-Hour" sessions run by the CRT

centre_medical_pano.jpg

The "13-minute medicine" sessions have been replaced by a new format: the "Pasteur Medicine Quarter-Hour".

At these sessions, two doctors give a brief presentation to Institut Pasteur scientists on the diseases they are involved in treating. Ideally, they start by describing one or more clinical cases before going on to provide a short description of the disease. They conclude by looking at unanswered questions relating to the disease that still need to be addressed.

Don't miss the next session about HIV at 5.30pm on Wednesday, December 16, in the François Jacob auditorium. For this special edition, Françoise Barré Sinoussi, laureate of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, will be the first speaker.

Program:

  • HIV: Working towards new treatments? - Françoise Barré Sinoussi (Institut Pasteur)
  • HIV elite controllers - Olivier Lambotte (Bicêtre Hospital)

Please note that the presentations will be given in French.

We are also looking for scientists to give a brief overview of the nature of their research at "Pasteur Science Quarter-Hour" sessions in hospitals. Apply at crt@pasteur.fr.
