Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
"Dear colleagues,
As part of efforts to strengthen the Institut Pasteur Ethics Unit, which reports directly to the senior management team, I would like to draw your attention to the importance of this mission and the need to expand this unit. To this end, a position is now open to any interested parties.
The Ethics Unit is tasked with identifying the ethical issues in conducting research involving persons, biological samples and/or personal information and supporting scientists based on campus in their management of such issues. The unit also coordinates the activities of two research ethics committees (IRB and the Ethics Board for European Contracts) and conducts awareness and training campaigns aimed at scientists. It is set to expand and therefore looking to recruit for a full-time position to meet needs that are identified as priorities in the areas of training and support for scientists on campus and in the Institut Pasteur International Network.
I encourage all of you wishing to move to a position related to consulting and training in the ethics of research to contact the Ethics Unit manager Virginie Pirard (virginie.pirard@pasteur.fr). This position requires a keen interest in human ethics. Past experience of the implications of research involving persons, biological samples and/or personal information would be a plus.
The position is available immediately.
Thank you for your attention,
Sincerely,"
Christian Bréchot
