Institut Pasteur, with its long history of working on arborviruses, has mobilized its international forces against Zika since the very first cases. By November 2015, the Pasteur Institute of French Guiana had confirmed the first case of the virus in Suriname, and on December 18, 2015, it identified the first case in French Guiana. After confirmation of these first cases, the same team published in The Lancet the whole genome sequence of the virus responsible for this outbreak...

conferences

The Institut Pasteur Conference Center is responsible for all the practical and logistical arrangements for conferences run by Institut Pasteur scientists on campus. It is also in charge of organizing and/or hosting a wide range of external and internal events and events run by Institut Pasteur partners (such as sponsors).

Center

On January 25 and 26, the Annual General Meeting of the French Institute of Bioinformatics (IFB) took place at the Institut Pasteur.

Media Library

Come and meet the science media library team. The media library will be visiting different buildings on campus on Fridays from 12 noon to 2pm to explain about its services, answer any questions and get to know you better!

Education

A third Institut Pasteur MOOC (massive online open course), entitled "From neuron to behavior", will be available to the public from May 16 via the "France Université Numérique" (FUN) platform. This MOOC will cover cutting-edge topics in neuroscience research: evolution, development, plasticity and pathologies of the nervous system. The final sessions of this MOOC will also raise the fascinating issue of the interaction between the microbiota and the brain, a rapidly expanding research topic at the Institut Pasteur.
