2019-2023 STRATEGIC PLAN

March 8, 2023: save the date for a morning to raise awareness about gender equality

The Institut Pasteur has made gender equality in the workplace one of its strategic priorities, with the aim of providing all staff with a working environment that promotes diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI).

Gender equality concerns us all. Although International Women's Day on March 8 is an opportunity to highlight the Institut Pasteur's commitment in this area, gender equality is not just about a single day – it is part of our everyday experience. Gender equality is EVERY DAY and "EVERY DEI"!

The targets in the Institut Pasteur's Gender Equality Plan (GEP), introduced in January 2022, include implementing measures to raise awareness about gender bias and stereotypes, sexist clichés and everyday sexism.

To this end we will be organizing a gender equality morning from 9 to 11.30am on Wednesday March 8 in the François Jacob auditorium. Note the date in your diaries!

• From 9 to 10am, come and meet the members of the Employee Resources Group (ERG)* at a DEI coffee session and share your ideas on how to improve equality at the Institut Pasteur;

• The discussion will be followed at 10am by an interactive theater performance. Aurelia and Philippe, the actors involved in Gender Week back in September, will be on stage to explore the topics of unconscious bias, stereotypes and sexist behavior.

• A cocktail reception will be held after the performance.

A series of other events on the theme of gender equality will be held throughout the year. Keep an eye on the BIP for the latest news!
