A data bank to characterize sandflies in French Guiana, vectors of the Leishmania parasite

Using the "MALDI-TOF", a tool that uses mass spectrometry technology, the team of the Interaction Virus Host Laboratory of the Institut Pasteur de la Guyane and its collaborators, have identified 29 species of phlebotomes among the 405 captured specimens. The objective is to create a reference bank to rapidly identify these small flies, vectors of Leishmania.
