In collaboration with the universities of Miami, Columbia and San Francisco, scientists from the Institut Pasteur, Inserm, CNRS, Collège de France, Sorbonne University and the University of Clermont Auvergne have managed to restore hearing in an adult mouse model of DFNB9 deafness – a hearing disorder that represents one of the most frequent cases of congenital genetic deafness.

To celebrate the 70th birthday of Philippe Sansonetti, a Professor at the Institut Pasteur and the Collège de France, as well as the 30 years of research carried out by the Microbial Molecular Pathogenesis Unit that he directs, an international symposium will be held on April 25 on the Institut Pasteur campus.

The renewal of the status of the International Pasteur Association Network- APIN "as a non-State actor in official relations" with WHO was validated by the Executive Board on 31 January 2019 for 3 years on the basis of a 2019-2021 collaboration plan, submitted in autumn 2018.
