International symposium – A tribute to Philippe Sansonetti and the Microbial Molecular Pathogenesis Team

To celebrate the 70th birthday of Philippe Sansonetti, a Professor at the Institut Pasteur and the Collège de France, as well as the 30 years of research carried out by the Microbial Molecular Pathogenesis Unit that he directs, an international symposium will be held on April 25 at the Institut Pasteur conference center. Entitled "A tribute to Philippe Sansonetti and the Microbial Molecular Pathogenesis Team", the event will be opened by Stewart Cole, President of the Institut Pasteur, and introduced by Pascale Cossart, Professor at the Institut Pasteur and Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Sciences.

This international symposium will include several scientific presentations exploring the six broad topics that have been the focus of research by the various members of the Microbial Molecular Pathogenesis Unit over the past three decades. Six binomial, each composed of one former member of the Unit and one external scientist who collaborated with the unit, will make presentations in the fields of microbial pathogenesis, cellular microbiology, innate immunity, vaccine development, the microbiota, and stem cells and cancer.

You are all invited to come along and take part in this opportunity for exchange and discussion on major research questions that continue to command the attention of key players in the field.

For organizational and logistical reasons, please sign up before April 5th by sending an email to PJS.PMM@pasteur.fr
