Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The Institut Pasteur is committed to facilitating the integration of new staff, especially foreign nationals. In line with its priorities, and as announced at the presentation of the Strategic Plan in December 2024, a series of initiatives have been launched at the start of 2025 to support them in the onboarding process.
Given the specific challenges associated with arriving in a new professional and cultural environment, a special "open door" session will be held to answer newcomers' questions about administrative procedures related to their stay in France. The session is organized by the administrative management teams in the Human Resources Department and will cover the following topics:
• Residence permit
• Social security and health insurance
• Different types of leave (additional leave, maternity and paternity leave, etc.)
Practical details
• Date: Tuesday February 4
• Time: 9.30am-12 noon
• Place: "The 25" cafeteria
• Language: English and French
Let us know if you're planning to come!
Please let us know if you are interested in coming so that we can make sure the open door session runs as smoothly as possible. A form has been created so that you can let us know your name and the topics that interest you.

Reminder of existing resources
As well as open door sessions, check out the internal resources developed to help you settle in:
- The HR FAQ platform, which contains a wide range of questions and answers, in French and English, related to arriving and living in France, such as: how to obtain or renew your residence permit, how to obtain a French tax number, etc.
- The ePasteur page "Working and living in France," which contains all the Institut Pasteur's internal resources and links to external resources
- The intercultural seminar: the aim of this seminar, held every year in November, is to facilitate integration by raising awareness of cultural differences.

Throughout 2025, other content and initiatives will be developed to enhance the quality of our support for new foreign staff at the Institut Pasteur. Dedicated information sessions on specific subjects such as tax will also be organized.
An information meeting will be held on Tuesday February, 11, for unit assistants to give them an overview of the procedures for welcoming new staff – a major priority for the Institut Pasteur – and the resources available. More informations in the next Newsletter.
