Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Professor Olivier Schwartz has been appointed as Scientific Director of the Institut Pasteur, at the proposal of the President, Professor Stewart Cole, and upon the decision of the Board of Directors of the Institut Pasteur. He will start work on February 15, 2018. This appointment has been made in connection with the new five-year strategic plan for the Institut Pasteur, which the senior management has been working on since Stewart Cole recently took office as President.
The next lecture, entitled "Chemical modification of DNA", will be held by Marcel Hollenstein, Head of the Bioorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids Five-year Group.
Jean-Pierre Changeux, an eminent Institut Pasteur scientist, recently gave an interview in which he spoke about the discovery of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, an ion channel-linked neuroreceptor. Looking back at this revolutionary discovery in the field of neuroscience is a good way for us to begin this special milestone year for the Institut Pasteur, which will celebrate its 130th anniversary on November 14, 2018. We can learn a lot by hearing what those behind groundbreaking discoveries have to tell us about their experiences.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn all about the issues related to the impact of your publications.
The Information Systems Department, committed to providing you with the tools you need for your clinical and epidemiological research, is pleased to offer a new service: the REDCap solution for electronic case report forms (eCRFs). The REDCap-Pasteur team is on hand to help you create your eCRFs (for training, support, guidance, etc.).
We are pleased to inform you that tours of the Pasteur Museum are available free of charge for Institut Pasteur staff and/or their guests (no prior booking required) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11am to 12 noon.
