A look back at the first meeting between the GreenTeam and Institut Pasteur President Yasmine Belkaid

On Tuesday January 16, 2024, the Sustainable Development Department held a special meeting in the temporary Salle des Actes, attended by nearly 60 people together with Institut Pasteur President Yasmine Belkaid, her Senior Executive Vice-President François Romaneix and her Vice-President Technical Resources and Environment Nathalie Denoyés, to discuss the GreenTeam Employee Resources Group (ERG) and its work and commitments.

After a short introduction by Yasmine Belkaid, Nathalie Denoyés got the event under way by thanking all the members of the ERG for their efforts to bring a new dimension to the environmental projects at the Institut Pasteur while taking into account the issues currently facing the various professions represented, and for the ERG's role in boosting the image and visibility of the Institut Pasteur in terms of sustainable development.
Hélène da Conceiçao, Head of the Sustainable Development Department, then presented the new structure of the GreenTeam, which is composed of more than 60 Institut Pasteur staff divided into 10 working groups (energy and construction, mobility, plastic, procurement, digital technologies, paper, food, waste, biodiversity and awareness), its missions (to be ambassadors and actors for change) and each working group's vision for 2024.

Anthony Bouillon, joint coordinator of the GreenTeam, continued the presentation with a special focus on the Climate Fresks® held on campus (to find out more and register for an upcoming workshop, click here) and closed the event with a series of questions raised by GreenTeam members. During this question and answer session between the President and the GreenTeam, there was a reaffirmation of the Institut Pasteur's commitment to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and its support for the GreenTeam's efforts to reduce the Institut Pasteur's negative impacts on the environment.
