Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Next Monday, July 9, the Institut Pasteur campus is hosting its own version of the Tour de France! So now is the time to gear yourselves up and get ready to pedal for charity.
From July 9 to 27, for the seventh year in a row, the three-week "Vivons Vélo" campaign, organized in partnership with AG2R La Mondiale, will be held on campus to clock up the kilometers and raise money for the Institut Pasteur’s research.
Individual and team challenges – such as covering the most kilometers in a single sitting and racing against the clock like in the Tour de France time trial prolog – will once again be held each week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11.30am to 2.30pm. So hop on your bike and make those kilometers count as we ride together for research!
The main challenge for all cyclists will be to reach 600km each week – especially as three bikes will be available for use during this new edition!
Get ready to go the distance and tackle the challenges against a shifting backdrop that will take you on a virtual "Tour de France" of your own, from Noirmoutier, via Roubaix, to Carcassonne!
Schedule of challenges:
The bikes will be freely available for use during the day, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on Tuesday and Thursday except when the challenges are held. Every pedal stroke counts!
And don't forget that once again this year, as for the past three years, the "Vivons Vélo" app is available to download on smartphones and tablets in conjunction with the campaign. It enables you to measure your performance when cycling and also boosts the charity kilometer counter. Encourage your friends and family to download the app – which contains great training programs for cyclists of all levels and allows you to post customized results on social media – and enjoy watching the kilometer count climb!
