CORONAVIRUS

Launch of a clinical study on immune responses for different COVID-19 vaccination regimens (CORSER-4)

The aim of this research led by the Institut Pasteur is to examine and monitor over time the immune system response induced by COVID-19 vaccination for different vaccination regimens. While most people receive two doses of the same vaccine (the "homologous prime-boost" strategy), it is sometimes recommended that some people receive a second dose of a different vaccine from the one used for their first dose (the "heterologous prime-boost" strategy, for example a second dose of an mRNA vaccine after a first dose of an adenovirus vector vaccine). For individuals that have been infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the past, a single vaccine dose is required. Are these different vaccination regimens likely to have a long-term impact on immune responses?

Enrollment in the CORSER-4 study began on June 1 at the Institut Pasteur Medical Center and in the Occupational Health Department. The project is coordinated by Dr. Marie-Charlotte Bernard, a clinical research physician.

People currently being vaccinated can offer to volunteer for this research. All necessary measures will be taken to protect their confidentiality.
