Partnership

Signing of an agreement between the Institut Pasteur and Necker Hospital

On Monday June 19, Christian Bréchot, President of the Institut Pasteur, and Vincent-Nicolas Delpech, Director of Necker-Enfants Malades University Hospital, signed a letter to Pasteurians and Neckerians, expressing a wish for greater interaction between the two institutions. The existing long-standing ties, formed through joint projects, and benefiting from the close proximity between the two sites, will be strengthened and developed thanks to the shared vision of researchers and clinicians. This will result in mutual affiliation between the two institutions.

The precise initiatives to be adopted are as follows:

  • closer ties between translational research and clinical structures,

  • additional training opportunities,

  • cooperation on the technological equipment strategy,

  • joint scientific facilitation,

  • easier circulation of staff.

For further details about the envisaged initiatives, you may view the letter to Pasteurians and Neckerians.

A committee has been appointed to lead the process, comprising members of the Center for Translational Science (Prof. Stanislas Pol, Dr. James Di Santo, Odile Gelpi, Prof. Marc Lecuit, Dr. Clémentine Schilte) and members of Necker-Enfants Malades hospital.

All Pasteurians interested in this partnership may contact Clémentine Schilte: clementine.schilte@pasteur.fr.
