Report on the Institut Pasteur General Meeting session on June 26

The members of the Institut Pasteur General Meeting met on Thursday June 26.

The meeting, introduced by Yves Saint-Geours, Chairman of the Institut Pasteur Board of Governors, was held in person in the CIS auditorium, but with the possibility of attending remotely via Teams.

During the meeting, the members unanimously approved the minutes of the General Meeting held on June 27, 2024.

They also approved the Annual Report of the Board of Governors, presented by Yves Saint-Geours, by an absolute majority of members present and represented.

Marking a fine link between the previous strategic plan and the Pasteur 2030 strategic plan, the Annual Report (AR) 2024 focuses in particular on the Institute's scientific priorities for 2030, our ambition to make science and research a vector of hope once again, and features a dossier on the links between ‘environmental transitions and health’ which highlights the issues, the players involved and several projects illustrating the Institute's mobilisation in the service of the health of all, particularly in the context of climate change.

Issued following the unveiling of Institut Pasteur's new identity last May, the RA in turn displays the institution's new identity codes, in a ‘magazine’ style, for even greater impact with its readers.

Alongside the presentation of the Annual Report, the meeting also featured a presentation of the annual accounts for 2024 by François Romaneix, Senior Executive Vice-President.

Please note:
Once again this year, the number of printed copies of the annual report has been reduced to 2,100, thus continuing the efforts made to reduce the impact on the environment, with eco-labelled suppliers, 100% recycled paper and an optimised format to reduce paper waste. The paper version remains an effective relational tool for reporting on Institut Pasteur's activities to its donors and institutional partners. For this reason, once again, the paper version of the annual report will no longer be distributed to each entity. Instead, it is available in PDF format on the external public website pasteur.fr (see above). At the end of the report, you will find more details on the ‘sustainable’ conditions under which it was produced.

During this session, the General Meeting also took the important step of electing eight new board members for the three-yearly partial renewal of the Board of Governors.
