Outbreak Readiness and Preparedness in the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Region
The first edition of the "Outbreak Readiness and Preparedness in the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Region (LMCR)" scientific symposium took place in late May 2019, involving several institutes in the Institut Pasteur International Network, the Yunnan government and the Mérieux Foundation. The aim is to develop a research platform in Yunnan province to prepare for emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. The scientists, clinicians, public health professionals, health workers and policy makers who attended the symposium shared their research and their views on how best to manage infectious diseases in South-East Asia, especially in the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Region.
