Institut Pasteur project selected for a Simone and Cino Del Duca scientific grant

The Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation, established in 1975, has been based at the Institut de France since 2005. It plays an active role in France and abroad in promoting the arts and sciences through awards, grants and funding.

The Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation offers three annual scientific grants, each worth €75,000, aimed at young French teams (the team leader must be under the age of 45 in the year the grant is awarded) conducting research projects in annually defined fields (chemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genomics, integrative biology, human biology and medical sciences and their applications).

This year, one of the grants was awarded to the project "Assessing local entomological risk to support precision public health," led by Simon Cauchemez, Head of the Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Diseases Unit, and his team. The grant was presented symbolically at an official ceremony held on June 1 at the Collège de France.
