"Should mosquitoes be eradicated using gene drive technology?" Come to the feedback session on June 11

Since 2015, the Institut Pasteur has run a course entitled "Introduction to the relationship between science and society" for PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, junior scientists and anyone else with an interest in the topic, including non-scientists. The aim of the course, which involves group sessions over several afternoons, is to investigate the changing relationship between science and society, to provide points for discussion on the questions raised by these developments and also to demonstrate how scientific arguments can contribute to topical issues.

As part of the 2018-2019 course, six working sessions were held to explore the question "Should mosquitoes be eradicated using gene drive technology?".  A feedback session on this question will take place on Tuesday June 11 at 3pm in "The 25" cafeteria. This is an opportunity for anyone unfamiliar with the subject to find out about gene drive technology and for those who know about the technique to contribute to the discussion. The session will be in French but questions in English are welcome.
