Appointment of the Vice-President Information Systems

At its meeting on February 15, 2019, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Stéphane Fournier as Vice-President Information Systems at the Institut Pasteur.

Stéphane Fournier, who trained as an electronics engineer, began his career for the French Ministry of Finance from 1999 to 2008 at the French Embassies in Russia, India, China and finally Spain, where he specialized in information systems security. He then joined Ubifrance when it reorganized its Information Systems Department and the IT services within its international network, and went on to hold a variety of positions including Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), Development Manager, Data Privacy Officer and Production Manager.

In 2014, he joined the Institut Pasteur as IT Production Manager, before becoming Deputy Vice-President Information Systems. His has always been guided by his commitment to provide an effective service and to support science and innovation. His wide-ranging experience in a variety of environments will serve him well as he continues the ongoing process of transforming the Institut Pasteur Information Systems Department and developing its services.

Stéphane Fournier will take up his new position on  March 1, 2019. He will continue to report to François Romaneix and will be a member of the Institut Pasteur Senior Management Board.
