Decision

Establishment of the Department for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

A Department for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) was established on February 7, 2024.

The department reports directly to the President.

Its mission is to:

•    propose policy and strategy priorities related to diversity, equity and inclusion for the "Pasteur 2030" Strategic Plan,

•    oversee the implementation of these priorities by devising innovative solutions and challenging any non-inclusive practices,

•    support the organizational changes that these solutions will require,

•    raise awareness of the DEI strategy outside the Institut Pasteur and coordinate its implementation among stakeholders including the Pasteur Network.

In the performance of its missions, the Department for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be supported by the other departments, especially the Human Resources Department, the Technical Resources and Environment Department, which coordinates issues related to corporate social responsibility, the Scientific Careers and Assessment Department and the Department of Communications and Public Affairs.

The work of the DEI Department will also involve the Employee Resources Groups (ERGs).

The Career Development Service for Scientists (CARE, formerly the Welcome, Support and Career Development Structure for Scientists (MAASCC)) reports to the Head of the DEI Department.
