• Jean-Baptiste Masson in the 2025 Top Inventors List
Every year, the magazine Le Point recognizes the 100 most innovative French scientists with its Top Inventors List.
This year, the panel of experts from the academic, non-profit and business communities selected Jean-Baptiste Masson, Head of the Decision and Bayesian Computation Unit, for his work co-founding the Avatar Medical startup alongside Professor Fabien Reyal, Head of the Gynecological, Breast and Reconstructive Surgery department at the Institut Curie, and engineer and physicist Mohamed El Beheiry.

• Marcel Hollenstein, winner of the 2025 Impact Santé program
In connection with the France 2030 investment plan, the Impact Santé program led by Inserm is supporting 15 projects in its first year that have the potential to transform research and medical practices to improve health.
These include the ReNAissance project, led by Bruno Pitard, CNRS Director of Research in the Immunology and New Concepts in Immunotherapy Unit at Nantes Université, and Marcel Hollenstein, Head of the Bioorganic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids Unit at the Institut Pasteur.
The goal of the ReNAissance project is to create a universal mRNA platform for the rapid development of antibody-based antiviral treatments, with the aim of offering more comfortable, more effective, cheaper therapeutic solutions.
