Fire risk prevention

Fire safety is essential in all environments, whether at home or in the office or workplace.

Knowing how to use a fire extinguisher can make the difference between a minor incident and a disaster.

Over the past three months, two fires broke out in Institut Pasteur laboratories.

How to avoid fire outbreaks

Adopt best practices:

•    Keep flammable materials away from areas where people circulate.

•    Avoid leaving electronic devices on standby.

•    Do not attempt to plug too many devices into power sockets.

The Security Department is inviting all staff to complete a training course on handling fire extinguishers.

The course will teach you what to do if you witness a fire breaking out – and you may even save lives.

Training based on real-life situations

As well as a theoretical part, the training will simulate real-life scenarios and include practical exercises in handling extinguishers.

It is crucial that as many staff as possible complete the course.

Sign up for the training

The Security Department hopes that you will choose to participate in this training.
