

"Pasteur, the microbe legacy" lecture cycle
The Palais de la découverte is offering a lecture cycle to coincide with the "Pasteur, the Experimenter" exhibition, with scientific advice from Maxime Schwartz, former President of the Institut Pasteur and scientific curator of the exhibition.
Program:
- Saturday March 17, 3pm - The prion: when a protein becomes infectious
Session held as part of Brain Week with Angélique Igel-Egalon, researcher, INRA, and Mohammed Moudjou, research engineer, INRA.
- Wednesday March 21, 7pm - Institut Pasteur scientists during the Great War
With Annick Perrot, honorary curator of the Pasteur Museum, and Maxime Schwartz, former President of the Institut Pasteur.
- Wednesday March 28, 7pm - Pasteur, the founder of microbiology
With Patrick Berche, President of the Institut Pasteur in Lille, Emeritus Professor at Paris Descartes-University.
- Wednesday April 4, 7pm - The role of vaccines in the control of infectious diseases
With Philippe Sansonetti, a microbiologist and infectious disease specialist at the Institut Pasteur, and professor at the Collège de France.
- Wednesday April 11, 7pm - Microbes in food, friends or enemies?
With Pierre Feillet, Emeritus Director of Research at INRA, agronomist, member of the French Academy of Technologies and the French Academy of Agriculture.
- Wednesday May 2, 7pm - Forgotten diseases, emerging diseases
With François Rodhain, honorary professor at the Institut Pasteur.
