The Institut Pasteur is launching its 2018 call for applications for the appointment of group leaders. Unit heads and candidates are invited to submit their full Group Leader application to the Scientific Careers Department by April 13, 2018 at the latest.

education

Until now Chinese scientists had a very restricted access to MOOCs from Western countries. This was the case for Pasteur MOOCs since FUN and COURSERA, the two platforms on which Pasteur MOOCs are diffused were not readily available in China. FUN is now establishing a contract with a Chinese platform, XuetangX, founded by the Tsinghua University in Beijing working on Edx.

publication

L'incroyable aventure de la génétique ["The incredible adventure of genetics"], published on March 8 by Nathan, is the third book in the collection after "The incredible history of life on earth" and "The incredible history of the universe". Based around a lively, colorful story, this book is a great way for very young readers to learn about genetics as they follow the tale of the book's two heroes, twins Noël and Léon, who are exactly alike but want to find out what makes us different.
