Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Each year, the CNRS recognizes the achievements of its talented researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative staff. This year, among the 82 Silver, Bronze and Crystal Medals awarded on March 15, three went to Institut Pasteur staff.
Pierre-Jean Corringer, Head of the Channel Receptors Unit, received the CNRS Silver Medal, which goes to researchers who are recognized nationally and internationally for the originality, quality and importance of their work.
Louis Lambrechts, Head of the Insect-Virus Interactions five-year Group, was selected for the CNRS Bronze Medal. This award recognizes work carried out at the beginning of a researcher's career which identifies him or her as a specialist with talent in a particular field. The Bronze Medal is a way for the CNRS to encourage researchers to continue work that has met with initial success and already produced fruitful results.
Finally, Hélène Quach, project manager in the Human Evolutionary Genetics Unit, received the CNRS Crystal Medal, which recognizes the work of engineers, technicians and administrative staff. This award goes to people whose creativity, technical expertise and sense of innovation make a real contribution alongside scientists to advancing knowledge and achieving excellence in French research.
