Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
On Thursday April 28, the Institut Pasteur was invited to present its biomedical research strategy to the Committee for Biomedical and Public Health Research (CRMBSP) for the Greater Paris Region. This committee is composed of equal numbers of representatives from the Paris Public Hospital Network (AP-HP), universities and Inserm. The session, chaired by Prof. Bertrand Fontaine with the participation of Martin Hirsch, Director of the AP-HP, began with the official signing by the two Presidents of agreements to set up joint units. This reflects the links between the Institut Pasteur's research units and hospital clinical departments. The following units were set up:
Lars Rogge and Maxime Dougados (Cochin Hospital, Rheumatology Department)
Lars Rogge and Gérard Socié (Saint-Louis Hospital, Hematology Department)
Philippe Sansonetti and Iradj Sobhani (Henri Mondor Hospital, Gastroenterology Department)
Christian Bréchot set out the Institut Pasteur's biomedical research strategy and its commitment to developing partnerships with clinicians. This led to a presentation of the Center for Translational Science by Stanislas Pol and his team. Following these presentations, the scientists that were selected under the 2015 calls for proposals for guest researcher positions, local partnership contracts and joint units gave scientific presentations on their current research.
The event was concluded with a reminder of the importance of working together in this way and a pledge to repeat these initiatives.
