To commemorate the founding of the Institut Pasteur in 1888, the Institut Pasteur is launching the Institut Pasteur young scientist prize. Each year, two laureates will be designed, one PhD student and one post-doc. The prize will be awarded to the first author of a high level research paper published in the year 2017.
The application criteria are the following:
Single first authorship or joint first authors (no more than two in which case the prize will be shared according to the number)
Research performed at the Institut Pasteur or in a Pasteur laboratory situated in metropolitan France,
Published in hard copy or online between January 1st and December 31, 2017.
Applications must be received electronically before midnight on May 24, 2018 and should be sent to 130prize@pasteur.fr. Applications should comprise a single pdf file containing the article and a short letter from the head of the research unit, G5, National Reference Centre or technology platform, where the research was performed, testifying that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria. Only one application per entity is permitted.
The winner in each category will be selected by the external members of the Scientific Council and the prize awarded during the annual meeting of the Pasteur Assembly (June 12).
