The next session of Creating your own company will take place June 6, at 8.30 a.m (room 28-01-01A, François Jacob center). The speaker of this session will be David Bikard, head of the Synthetic Biology G5 lab at the Institut Pasteur and co-founder of Eligo Bioscience, a start-up created in 2014 and incubated at the institute.

Eligo Bioscience is developing a new class of targeted biotherapeutic agents to selectively intervene on the microbiome. The company uses synthetic biology, protein engineering and the CRISPR/Cas technology to deal with targeted microbial populations.
Eligo Bioscience has raised several millions € from investors and is laureate of the worldwide Innovation challenge.

David Bikard combines his activity at the head of a lab at the Institut Pasteur and the role of Chief Scientific Director of Eligo, illustrating the possibility to combine academic research and entrepreneurship.
