Invitation to a general information meeting on the Institut Pasteur’s articles of association at 3pm on June 3

Message from the Chairman of the Institut Pasteur Board of Directors

"Dear all,

On February 28, the Institut Pasteur's Board of Directors unanimously adopted a proposal to amend the Institut Pasteur's articles of association on three points:

  • as from the end of the current term, extending the length of the President's term from 4 to 6 years and increasing the age limit on the date of appointment or renewal from 65 to 67;

  • including more external members in the composition of the Scientific Council: 10-12 external members and 4-6 Institut Pasteur members, as opposed to the current ratio of 8 and 8. The overall number would remain 16, including 4 elected internal members. Within these numbers, a ratio of 10 external and 6 internal members would be adopted;

  • updating the financial provisions.

To present these proposals, I had originally planned to hold an information meeting for all staff, together with the Board of Directors on March 18. This meeting had to be canceled following the implementation of lockdown measures in mid-March and the roll-out of the Institut Pasteur’s Business Continuity Plan.

In view of the situation, I wish to present the proposals at a video conference for all staff on June 3 starting at 3pm, together with the two Vice-Chairmen of the Board of Directors, Hubert du Mesnil and Artur Scherf.

These proposals will be discussed by the Institut Pasteur General Meeting at its session on June 22.

Information to connect to the meeting

The visio conference will be a Live event using Microsoft Teams. To connect to the meeting, you will just have to click on this link. If Teams is installed on your computer, you will be connected directly to the meeting. Otherwise, you can also access to the event from your web browser, and sign in with your Pasteur account (login@pasteur.fr). Please, try as soon as possible, and request the help of the IT helpdesk as needed.
