COVID-19 : Video from Stewart Cole - The Institut Pasteur Administration adapts to life under lockdown

"Dear colleagues,

The Board of Directors and the Social and Economic Committee are two bodies at the Institut Pasteur that play a particularly important role. They enable the Institut Pasteur to launch new projects and monitor the work of the management team. The formal discussions I have with these bodies therefore serve as a guarantee of democracy. At times of crisis, it is vital for these bodies to continue their work so that we can continue our activities. That is why I am sharing a new video with you to inform you about our recent discussions.

The lockdown measures, both those adopted by the government and those adopted specifically for the Institut Pasteur, force us to find new ways of working, meeting and discussing together – and this also applies to the Institut Pasteur's governing bodies. We now have effective tools for virtual meetings and home working. I would like to thank the Information Systems Department for their valuable assistance in this area!

As the French Prime Minister explained in his address to the National Assembly on April 28, the resumption of activities will be a gradual, phased process. Taking into consideration the latest announcements and the realities of the Institut Pasteur campus, we are currently preparing a Return to Business Plan, which will have to be flexible enough to allow for any developments in the current situation. Next week I will outline the key aspects of the plan.

See you again soon."
