Agenda

The senior management invites you to a discussion meeting about the Institut Pasteur's scientific vision for 2025 on the afternoon of Tuesday January 24

"Dear Colleagues and Friends,

In the context of very rapid evolutions of science, medicine and public health, the Institut Pasteur has initiated in 2014 a strategic plan to reinforce its ambition and leadership while maintaining its specific positioning in research.

This plan has set up priorities, focusing on scientists, on an interdisciplinary scientific vision, on reinforcing the international network of the Institut Pasteur, on reorganization of research to enforce synergies, as well as on innovation and technological transfer.

Science must be at the heart of our projects and of the important choices we must made for the Institut. We all know that science must and will remain curiosity-driven and that we should remain extremely humble as to the impact of predictions in science.

Yet, given the constant and very rapid progress and changes in science, medicine and public health, it is important to update and get a forward look at the future of the institute. With this goal, several working groups have been initiated over the past year to delineate the priorities which should drive the development of the Institut Pasteur at the 2025 horizon.

In this context, I have asked to Lluis Quintana-Murci, Scientific Director of the Institut Pasteur to organize on January 24th 2017 (afternoon) a meeting which will gather all interested members of the Institute and of the network and delineate through scientific presentations and open discussions how we may contemplate the future at the Institut Pasteur .

Lluis Quintana-Murci will organize the agenda of this meeting together with the research departments, the scientific council and the college des conseillers scientifiques.

But save the date!

Best regards,"
