On November 17, come along to the preview screening of the film 5 hectares attended by Lambert Wilson

In June 2022, the Institut Pasteur campus became an inspiring film set for the new Émilie Deleuze film, 5 hectares, starring Lambert Wilson.

In the film, French star Lambert Wilson plays a respected Institut Pasteur scientist who, ignoring the advice of his partner, employer and neighbor, decides to invest in a house in Maussac, in France's Limousin region, and then buy himself a tractor in an attempt to blend in with the neighbors.

For the requirements of the script and to create the scientific environment of the main character, in June 2022 the film crew, alongside the actors, shot several scenes in the Central Animal Facility and in the labs, corridors and offices of the Zebrafish Neurogenetics Unit led by Laure Bally-Cuif. Some members of the Institut Pasteur research team played extras in a research setting in which they felt very much at home! Olivier Schwartz, Head of the Virus and Immunity Unit, and artist Fabrice Hyber, who has close ties with the Institut Pasteur and has helped showcase its artistic dimensions, also took part in some scenes of the upcoming movie.

The film is due to be released in cinemas in December, but the Institut Pasteur is pleased to invite you to a preview screening organized with the production teams. On Friday November 17, at 4pm in the CIS, you are all invited to come and meet the director Emilie Deleuze and the actor Lambert Wilson. Feel free to come along and chat to them about the context of the film and what inspired them to make it, and look back at the scenes shot on campus and how the shoot was organized. Don't miss this opportunity to spend time with some unique guests on campus!

The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
