STRIKES

Strikes and public transport on Thursday December 5

Given the expected disruption to public transport owing to the strike scheduled for December 5, we would like to remind you of the provisions in place for staff members experiencing difficulties in getting to the Institut Pasteur:

  • Broad tolerance regarding the times staff arrive and leave and the option of amending your usual working hours: the campus will open from 6am for Institut Pasteur staff who wish to come to work by car.

  • The option of working from home on an occasional basis (exceptionally no minimum service period required) for positions that lend themselves to this option, with line manager's permission (via the HR portal).

Employees who have opted to work from home on a regular basis are invited to switch the day they usually work from home to Thursday December 5 (with the agreement of their manager).

For employees working under the tailored flexitime system: to compensate for longer journey times, the length of the working day will be counted as 7 hours (with their manager's agreement) and any debit hours will not need to be made up.

  • Any unexpected absences should be covered by a leave request – either paid leave, additional leave (ARTT), days not worked (JNT) or absences during core working hours (APF). Exceptionally, absences during core working hours will not be deducted from the 12 days of authorized absence each year.

Measures such as car-sharing should be encouraged among units/departments or via dedicated websites such as Klaxit or BlaBlaCar.

Finally, we would remind you that parking on campus is authorized but must be requested in advance via the Télémaque portal.

Vehicle access to campus will be facilitated and above-ground parking will exceptionally be permitted.

Activities requiring the constant presence of specific staff members will be examined on a case-by-case basis by unit heads and their local HR manager.

If the disruption continues, these measures will be repeated and/or adapted as necessary.
