Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Once again this year, Pasteurdon's media partners have rallied to the cause, including its loyal radio stations.
For this 17th edition, Pasteurdon is supported over the airwaves by Radio France, RFI, BFM Business, RMC, Sud Radio, NRJ, Nostalgie, Chérie FM, Rire & Chansons, Radio Classique, RTL, RTL2, Fun Radio, Europe 1, RFM and Virgin Radio. In the run-up to Pasteurdon weekend, the stations have all been broadcasting messages to raise awareness and appeal for donations at different times of day.
Some of them will also broadcast special reports produced in the Institut Pasteur's laboratories, appeal for donations in specific programs or interview Institut Pasteur staff on air. The radio stations have also spread the word about the campaign on their respective websites.
Make sure you keep your ears open!
Starting at 8.45pm and continuing over the weekend until Sunday evening at midnight, all the partner TV channels will show their support for research by displaying the Pasteurdon logo and broadcasting the short film featuring their flagship presenter as a messenger for the Institut Pasteur.
The TV channels will also help boost the visibility of Pasteurdon with special programs or news bulletins appealing for donations or by broadcasting special reports produced after visits by their teams to the Institut Pasteur campus.
Remote controls at the ready!
For this latest edition of Pasteurdon, the Institut Pasteur has joined forces with Brut media to produce two new videos for the general public with the aim of boosting the impact and visibility of the campaign.
The idea is to get to know two scientists on campus so that Brut's audience can find out more about the research carried out at the Institut Pasteur, especially on zoonoses, with Sarah Merkling, and hearing, with Luc Arnal. The videos will be shown on Brut's social media pages during the month of October to support the 17th edition of Pasteurdon.
"How can a disease pass from animals to humans?" with Sarah Merkling.
Zoonosis is a word that you might never have heard of. But zoonoses, diseases that are transmitted from animals to humans, infect a billion people every year, resulting in a million deaths. Brut went to the Institut Pasteur to find out more.
Check out the video, which was released on October 2 on Brut's social media pages (in French)
"How does the brain adapt in people with hearing loss?" with Luc Arnal.
