The Center for Human Immunology organizes the CIH Technology Seminar “Nanostring: digital color-coded barcode technology” presented by Rudy van Eijsden on the 15th of October at 11am in the conference room Jules Bordet (Mechnikoff building).
NanoString Technologies provides tools for researchers solving problems in the areas of translational research and molecular diagnostics. The nCounter Analysis System utilizes a novel digital color-coded barcode technology that is based on direct multiplexed measurement of gene expression and offers high levels of precision and sensitivity (<1 copy per cell). The technology uses molecular "barcodes" and single molecule imaging to detect and count hundreds of unique transcripts in a single reaction.
The training on Nanostring Technology will follow the seminar:
It will start with the presentation of the prepstation and the Digital Analyzer at 1pm - 4pm in the conference room Jules Bordet.
A hands on training is organised on the 16th of October at 9am-17pm in the new molecolar biology laboratory of the CIH in François Jacob building (lab 27-01-05).
