Report on film shoots and radio recordings

  • Report on the film shoots for short programs on September 3 and 4, 2020

In 2018 and 2019, the Department of Communications and Fundraising organized shoots for the new Pasteurdon short films, in a new location and with a new production team. At the time, no fewer than 21 TV presenters and several "extras" from among the Institut Pasteur's staff took part in the shoots in the new OMICS buildings.

The unprecedented health situation in the past few months has led to the adoption of new procedures for 2020 with the aim of building on last year's short films, designed to shine a light on the campaign, and extending them to include the presenters of the new partner channels that are rallying to the cause this year.

This represented a real challenge for the Institut Pasteur, which demonstrated a great deal of flexibility and creativity to make it possible. The first stage involved taking static shots in the OMICS buildings (the setting for the short films made in 2018 and 2019) so that they could be inserted on a green screen as a backdrop for the new films, which it was decided would be shot in studios rather than on the Institut Pasteur campus. Eight presenters filmed these video clips on September 3 and 4 in studios, representing the new partners in our 2020 line-up: Le Tone (RMC Découverte), Sébastien Cauet (NRJ/NRJ12), Alice Darfeuille (BFMTV), Marie-Aline Méliyi (LCI), Estelle Denis (L’Équipe), Aïda Touihri (RMC Story), Marguerite Dumont (BFM Paris) and Marina Carrère d'Encausse (France, 2, France 3, France 5, France info).

  • Report on the radio recordings made on September 10, 2020

On September 10, several partner radio stations got their top presenters to record special messages for listeners to help them find out more about the Institut Pasteur and raise awareness of the need for donations. Sébastien Cauet (NRJ/NRJ12), Alexandre Devoise (Chérie FM), Diara Ndiaye (RFI) and Cécile de Ménibus (Sud Radio) took to the microphone in their recording studios to bring the theme of the campaign, "Let's defend research together!", to their listeners.
