BICENTENARY

Louis Pasteur bicentenary scientific prizes: message from Stewart Cole

Dear Team Pasteur,

On June 30, I announced the launch of the "Louis Pasteur Bicentenary Prizes," established to mark the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur's birth. Four scientific prizes will be awarded to Institut Pasteur scientists for achievements that capture the Pasteur ethos (l’esprit Pasteur) in the fields of biomedical research, public health and innovation:

•    Junior LP200 Prize, for a junior Institut Pasteur scientist
•    Senior LP200 Prize, for a senior Institut Pasteur scientist
•    Pasteur Network LP200 Prize, for a scientist working in the Pasteur Network
•    Pasteur Alumni LP200 Prizes, for two former Institut Pasteur scientists (junior and senior) from the alumni community.

As we are nearing the September 30 deadline for applications, I wanted to remind you of the details about how to apply (click here) and reveal the members of the international panel* that will be examining the applications. The panel will be chaired by Pascale Cossart, an Institut Pasteur Professor and Honorary Permanent Secretary of the French Academy of Sciences.

Please note in your diaries that the award ceremony will take place on the Institut Pasteur campus on January 26, 2023.

We hope that lots of you will be inspired by the Pasteur ethos and apply!

Kind regards

Prof. Stewart Cole
President
