Spotlight on this year's campaign, from October 8 to 12, 2025: The power of science to change individual lives

For the past 19 years, the Institut Pasteur has run an annual fundraising and communication campaign, Pasteurdon, to raise awareness among the public of the ways in which research can help tackle global health challenges.

This year, against a backdrop of growing health crises, Pasteurdon will be shining a light on three pressing issues:
-    rising cancer rates for people of all ages,
-    the emergence of new resistant microbes,
-    preparedness for future disease outbreaks.

These topics, all of which are central to the Institut Pasteur's research, illustrate the urgent need for action and the crucial importance of public support.

To showcase these key research themes that affect the health of each and every one of us, this year Pasteurdon is proposing a series of visuals based on intimate portrait photos featuring one or more people, such as might be found in a cherished family album. The photos exude affection, joy and love. They reflect real life, the life that we are all striving to protect.

These visuals suggest a carefree life before a diagnosis, evoking nostalgia for a time that a patient's loved ones would give anything to return to.
As well as the human-centered, authentic message of these new visuals, this year's Pasteurdon campaign will also feature the styles and colors of the Institut Pasteur's new brand platform.

Through the choice of photos, the dynamic presentation and the tone of the words, the aim will be to clarify the crucial role of science in serving human progress, while also cultivating a more modern, human image for the Institut Pasteur.

Check out the visuals chosen for the new campaign.
