Following a food service tender process that has recently been completed, the tender committee is pleased to announce that a new staff restaurant service will be available on campus from Monday, October 6.

The goals set by this tender process were to:

• breathe new life into food services on campus
• revamp the food service offering to meet the expectations of Institut Pasteur staff
• improve quality of service and help enhance quality of working life
• take account of regulatory and CSR criteria (including the Egalim Law aimed at encouraging more sustainable food in mass catering)
• offer a wide range of organic options

A decision was taken to divide the service into two work packages:

Package 1 includes:

o    The self-service canteen: "Le Laboratoire culinaire" 
o    The cafeteria "L’Autrement", formerly "Le Bienfait" 
o    The "Terrasse Bistronomique", formerly "La Table"
o    Room service = breakfasts and coffee breaks
 

API was selected to provide this first work package.

API is the fourth biggest mass catering operator in France. Factors that made its tender stand out: supplies sourced from local producers (not central purchasing units), rehabilitation through work proposed in the cafeteria, relevant works planned in the self-service canteen to increase efficiency and improve the user experience, "smart" meal packages to suit all budgets, carbon footprint reporting, among others. 
 

Please note that:

- Services at "La Terrasse Bistronomique" and room service will start on October 6. Details of the booking system (using the API app) and applicable rules will be sent out to you at the end of September. - As regards the "caterer" service please refer to the list of recommended caterers (for the moment, API has not been selected for the caterer service on our site).

Package 2 includes:

o    The 25 cafeteria 
o    The François Jacob building cafeteria

Leading alternative food service leader Foodles has been selected for these spaces.

Foodles will offer modern solutions and flexibility by installing connected fridges available 24/7 and cabinets for click & collect at The 25 and in the François Jacob building cafeteria as well as a new counter at The 25 with a barista service for breakfasts, a fresh’bar and savory snacks at the salad bar.

You will have access to a Foodles app.
