112th issue of the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" out now!

The latest issue of the quarterly newsletter for Institut Pasteur donors – the "Lettre de l'Institut Pasteur" (LIP) – has just been published. This edition is all about the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for biomedical research and medicine.

There are a huge number of applications for artificial intelligence in health, in a wide variety of fields including computerized medical image analysis to assist with diagnostics (using images from MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, etc.), robot-assisted surgery, predictive medicine, epidemic surveillance, disease prognosis, the development of new treatments and personalized medicine. This latest issue explores the vast potential of AI, with explanations from some of the Institut Pasteur's physicians, mathematicians and computer scientists, who – along with biologists and physicians – are helping to shape the future of medicine.
