Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The mandatory annual negotiations on remuneration for 2022 between the management team and trade unions were recently concluded with the signing by a majority of a memorandum of understanding containing several important measures aimed at Institut Pasteur employees.
During these negotiations, the management team was keen to hear the demands of the unions and to take positive measures for all employees, while also making a special effort for the lowest salaries.
The Institut Pasteur and the signatory trade unions reached agreement on the following significant measures:
1/ A budget of 2.3% of payroll is allocated for the 2022 financial year for individual pay rises
• This budget is broken down as follows:
o 2% for individual pay rises (which will come into effect on April 1, 2020);
o 0.20% for promotions, a rise in seniority bonuses and the application of minimum career progress increments due in 2022.
• A budget of 0.10% of payroll is again allocated for wage increases and adjustments.
2/ One-off bonus
As in 2020 but with higher payments, the following one-off bonuses to improve purchasing power, exempt from tax and social security contributions, will be paid to employees whose remuneration in 2021 was less than three times the annual value of the growth-indexed minimum wage (based on a year of full-time work):
• €700 for salaries below €28 k
• €600 for salaries above €28 k and below €37 k
• €400 for salaries above €37 k and up to €57.2 k
A gross bonus of €400 will be paid to all employees not eligible for this scheme (with salaries above €57.2 k).
These bonuses will be paid together with the March 2022 salary.
3/ Specific measure for employees whose basic salary is less than index 500
Employees whose index is lower than 500 will be entitled to an index rise of 7 points (a gross monthly rise of €35). This rise will be implemented with the May 2022 salary, on the basis of the basic salary received in January to ensure that the measure is separate from any individual pay rises decided in connection with the RemInd campaign.
4/Introduction of the sustainable mobility payment at the Institut Pasteur
The aim of this payment is to develop sustainable mobility while also offering assistance to any Institut Pasteur employees who use one of the following means of transport:
- Traditional or electric bicycles,
- Traditional or electric scooters.
The allowance, which may not be combined with the transport refund, is €180 a year. It will be paid in monthly installments of €15.
5/ Institut Pasteur Company Savings Plan: changes to thresholds for employer contributions
Agreement was also reached on changes to the thresholds for the employer contribution of €600 by the Institut Pasteur, with the aim of returning to the previous system which encouraged initial payments.
Payment of the employer contribution will now be calculated as follows:
- 60% of the first €400 paid in the year, or a maximum employer contribution of €240,
- 40% of any additional amount paid, up to a maximum employer contribution of €360 (as opposed to 30% previously).
To receive the maximum employer contribution under the new system you must invest €1,300 each year, as opposed to €1,600 under the current scheme.
Since it is impossible to introduce this measure partway through the year, it was agreed that the measure will take effect for the 2023 financial year.
More information about all the measures, including dates and arrangements for implementation, can be found in the memorandum of understanding concluding the annual negotiations.
