Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
Researchers at the Institut Pasteur ide la Guyane (Arbovirus Epidemiology and CNR Unit), in collaboration with the Infectious Diseases Mathematical Modeling Unit at the Institut Pasteur, as well as the Cayenne and Saint-Laurent Hospital Centers, have just published a work that help to better describe the clinical pictures of pregnant women infected with the Zika virus by placing them in the global context of an epidemic that was already known to be associated with a large number of asymptomatic forms. 3,050 pregnant women aged 14 to 48 years were followed. This is the first study with such an important population of pregnant women.
