BUILDING WORK

Progress report on construction of the new CMTV infrastructure building

As work continues on the new building to house the research center for vector-borne diseases, please read on to find out more about how the work is progressing.

We would like to inform you of the latest developments in the construction of the center dedicated to vector-borne diseases.

After the platform preparation phase, which took place in September, work is about to enter a new and important phase for the foundation of the new building, a stage which should last until June 2025.

As part of this project, drilling operations will begin to install the consolidation piles for the building's infrastructure, which will comprise five underground levels. These operations, which require the use of a drilling rig, will generate surface noise and possibly vibrations. They will start at the beginning of October and last for three months, until the end of December 2024. Subsoil surveys have been carried out to ensure stability during drilling.

Working hours for these drilling operations are fixed, organized from 8am to 5pm, with a stopover from 12pm to 1pm.

We are aware of the daily nuisance caused by this site for people working in neighbouring buildings. That's why the project management team, together with the human resources department and the real estate and technical department, has decided to meet with the unit managers particularly affected by the work over the next few weeks. The aim of these discussions is to listen, answer questions and identify solutions on a case-by-case basis to avoid nuisance where possible.

As a reminder, people who may be directly affected by the nuisance can contact their department or unit manager and their proxi-HR in order to assess each situation and evaluate, according to individual constraints, any work arrangements to be considered during these drilling operations, which will continue over the coming quarter.

We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have throughout the project (cmtv@pasteur.fr). In addition, a dedicated space will soon be available on the ePasteur home page. We undertake to communicate regularly on the progress of this project.

Best regards,

Anna Kehres, CMTV Project Manager
Nathalie Denoyés, Vice-President Corporate Social Responsibility and Technical Resources
Frédéric Durand, Vice-President Human Resources
